So, as I have bent the frame or camber plugs on my Quickie Ti, and my hips are too wide for it, I have decided to adjust my Q7 to fit 25" wheels. I have to add spacers to my camber tube and adjust my caster wheels. This is a project that's going to take up most of my day. Hopefully I can get this other chair to work for me. Then I can use my side guards and keep my clothing clean too. I wish I could cut the back down without Medicaid getting mad! It's got a back high enough for a quad!
I hope I can get the chair to work. It is soooo different to push. My center of gravity is back so far on it! That might have to change! Here we go...
Oh dear Knight..i hope you get it sorted and be sure that the chair supports you properly too. Its sometimes amazing the difference each chair is to sit in and push
Sounds like a big project Knight, good luck with it! Be sure to keep an eye out on eBay, Craigslist, Kijiji, etc for different wheelchair parts. Maybe you'll find a nice low back for cheap
I wouldn't sweat the torque wrench. Built and rebuilt my GT a few times without one. Snug is generally good enough. When in doubt, I add a little purple LocTite to keep things well in place. Just remember to check all the hardware a few days after adjusting to find anything backing off. If nothing, you're more than likely good.
Oh how bad is that Knight, wheres a man and his tool when u need one Can u post on fb for help? Theres gotta be some guys in the town who could come to your rescue
