Thats great advice grommet...there is definitely a way to win bids on ebay.... All of my friends ask me to bid for them as i hit bid on the last second and always tend to win it...its fun!
The backrest looks permanently fixed but when I looked online it appears that there are different mounting hardwares for the EVO which means you should be able to swap out backrests. I'd contact TiLite directly to confirm

I read on their site that there are different mounting hardwares for it. It doesn't seem like they make the Evo anymore, but I should be able to make something work. I am friends with a welder, so no problems if I do have to have the posts cut down Yay for living in the oil field!
Hi Knight, I'm 99.9% sure that the EVO wheelchair is now discontinued. I think with the back rest it should be adjustable, sliding with spring button things to hold it in place. It looks like its had a hard life. I don't think that I would be jumping in just yet. There is no real rush just keep looking and I'm sure you will find a good chair at the right price.

I thought about and am taking your advice. I need to get the right chair for me.
Yes Knight you don't need a third chair sitting around your apartment not being used, just a waste of money if your not 100% happy with it. And I know you don't need to be told, but please make sure the measurements are correct, it might be worth getting re scripted just to make sure.
For a long time I've been wanting a forum where we can list the equipment we don't need and would like to give to someone who could use. It would help so many people. A lot of us have tried a lot of equipment that didn't work out for us but is just what someone else wants. I really wanted NaturalFit handrims. For years I hoped I'd get a pair and finally I put the money together and got them. They didn't work for my hands at all, really hurt spreading my hands so wide. I wanted so badly for them to work I bought a second pair, this time the narrower LT's. They didn't work for me either. Good product and well made but didn't work with my body. Knowing how much I had wanted them, I hated having them just sit around. A couple of years ago I finally found some one who wanted one of the pairs and we made a deal. I was glad to give them to her but I couldn't afford to pay to ship them to her. She sent me a box through UPS with a pre-paid return shipping label inside. I packed the rims up and sent them to her. I wish I could have done it without any cost to her but I was very glad she could get the NF's she wanted and couldn't afford. They have worked out great for her.
So I still wish we had a forum to exchange equipment. People could post what they have and others could post what they need, whether it's casters or some special bolts or an axle or a chair. We need to help each other. That's what I think.
I actually found that forum just after I posted, eek :-) Very glad to see it. We've got to help each other and what we have sitting around can mean so much to some one else. I still have the other pair of NaturalFit rims, the regulars. If anybody would like to have them I just need a way to get them to you. They are not pristine as I slightly gouged the mounting tabs while trying to free the screws but I think they'd be great for someone who's been wanting some NF's.

This is a very good idea grommetDJ is it possible for an exchange section to have its own bit so its easier to find for new members too or guests maybe, a sub forum?
