This is something that I must learn to master. I believe that to lead a full and active life this skill is vital for us. I can do it If have a box so I sort get onto my chair by a step, but that's not good enough, you must get from the floor to your chair or vis a versa without any aids.
I do my floor transfers quite differently, but I still have some leg movement, so I use that. Should I record a video of my chair-floor transfer so you could see another way, Butiki?

You will definitely be able to master that Butiki! I got only some arm function, so I can't even get out of bed on my own, but it doesn't mean I don't try my best to do it.
Do something today that your future self will thank you for.
Butiki, after I shower, I will post a video of my floor transfers for you. I will do it 2 ways-- once using the function I have in my legs and the other pretending I have no function in my legs. I use both ways in my everyday life as sometimes my legs go dead and refuse to work!
Yes Knight I would be very interested to see how you do these transfers, they are very hard for me, I think because I have a big fat belly, that's one reason I am now going to the gym.
Hey Knight, that was great. You have now given me an idea to try that one because you make it look so easy, but my wife won't let me. She told me she doesn't think she can lift me off the floor today. But seriously that was very good mate.
Knight, do you have the wheelchair socks things on your wheels that willvape was talking about in another thread? It looks like you have them on your wheels in the video!
DJ, nope. I have grey Kenda Kobra tires and Natural Fit hand rims on Spinergy rims
Oh wow those are thicker than I thought they'd be! I bet it's amazing in the snow & rough terrain.
They are really good on rough terrain and in snow. Not too much snow, but they handle a packed down driveway like beasts Butiki says they're really good in sand too, as he has the same tires on his all-terrain chair.
