Yeah as much as I have taking meds, I guess that's the only thing we can do when situations get bad like this eh Knight.
Meds, or something interesting I have found out: Achieving an orgasm seems to calm my nerve pain. Oh, how weird the body is. However, I would get nothing done if I spent all day doing that! I'll be trying Alpha Lipoic Acid once I get my bowels back on a regular schedule.

Nerve pain does seem to settle with this activity Knight Let us know how you go on with the Alpha Lipoic Acid

The Alpha Lipoic Acid made my nerve pain skyrocket. It made it ten times worse...

Did you just add the ALA Knight? Or did you just replace it instead of your regular meds. I agree Ladylimpsalot, we are all different, with different levels of nerve pain.
I think that you are describing nerve pain, and unfortunately that is a symptom of CES. There are various medications or supplements that can be used for this. If it gets really bad, and I know that my nerve pain was much worse than even my muscle pain, that your doctor can prescribe Gabapentin or Lyrica. I use Alpha Lipoic Acid to prevent this.
I will be looking into Lyrica and possibly Alpha Lipoic Acid when I can get down to see my regular physician again. I am hesitant to try new meds, but the pain gets unbearable sometimes, so it may be time to take a chance.
I hate taking meds. The ALA is more of a supplement. Non prescription. And yes, for me nerve pain was the absolute worst. It felt like zillions of bees were attacking at once!

Distraction helps me too Freewheeler If my nerve pain remained at the pins and needles, hot, cold,. bee stings, ants crawling, what I call normal nerve pain , I'd still be med free. There is the higher level of pain when you add in the electric jolts that last for sometimes, days at a time. With little or no sleep the mind stops working, I couldn't afford that. Some here feel they have a high threshold of pain, keep patting yourselves on the back. It's early yet.
For some reason, when my legs are warm to the touch, it feels like they're freezing cold. I hate that. If they're cold to the touch, they feel normal, unless they get too cold.
Also, I hate winter/spring/winter. Yes, that's the new name for this season.
