wavewolf, the ZRA is a nice chair for sure! Ah yeah I see what you mean, having a smoother ride is good. I need to get my footrest adjusted because my feet keeps falling off when wheeling outdoors due to the vibration.
My feet fall off even indoors! I use an inexpensive, very lightweight nylon 1" webbing with FastClip buckle around my ankles. Does the job. Did I mention that I'm the Queen of Cheap?!

You have to meet my wife. She rubs two pennies together and gets a nickle.
wavewolf...one of the conditions you have is it related to sarcoids if you don't mind me asking?
Forgot to answer this! Yes, I have sarcoid lesions throughout my brain and spinal cord, so motor function and sensory perception are skewed. Incomplete paralysis at L3, and some neural deficits at higher levels--hard to nail down. Lesion at T12 affecting GI process, seems to be worsening.

Ah damn i see....im sorry to hear that the condition affects you in such a way that it continues to cause worsening problems....
I don't know too much about sarcoids except I had a show horse with one and i had it treated...I read up a little bout them and I remember reading that they can re-seed throughout the body. This one was on the outer leg so im wondering if there are two types...one that is internal and one external?
Just want to add..i love how practical you are and your humour..very down to earth..i love it!
Cold laser is a relatively new treatment for nerve dysfunction, pain management, reduction of inflammation, and improved wound healing. Using particular frequencies (wavelengths), photons are infused to stimulate neural pathways from point of injury to targeted site where function can be observed. For me, it "awakened" (my word) the nerves so that more message was carried and motor function improved. Sensory function was not as dramatically improved. Mainstream doctors consider the treatment controversial, and most insurance will not pay for it, nor will Medicare/Medicade. More chiropractors are incorporating it into their practice. Of course, much opportunity for fraud! My chiropractor, a personal friend, was experimenting when he tried it on me--non-invasive so no recovery time, no negative side effects reported, and no need to take more meds. I was game, and the dramatic results I had prompted him to use this on other patients with neuropathies and inflammatory pain. Repeated treatments are most effective, but I could only afford a limited number. The results lasted, even though interrupted for a long period by my use of high-dose steroid. If you decide to try cold laser, probably a chiropractor is going to be administering this treatment. Wear protective eye gear, just in case... Finding a credible chiropractor, who has the right equipment and has learned how to use it, is not simple.

Sarcoidosis is a very complex disease, and can attack any system in the body. Skin sarcoid lesions are indicative of a better prognosis, meaning remission--sarcoidosis is always incurable, but disease can "hide" (similar to Lyme) and be asymptomatic for long periods. No one really understands how sarcoid lesions "spread" or "re-seed"; they just show up in different systems and intensify in a single system in no predictable manner. There is no distinction between internal and external lesions, just different systems being attacked. Sarcoidosis has characteristics of auto-immune disease, with probable bacterial involvement at cell level, and probable environmental triggers and genetic predisposition. Treatment is a crap-shoot, mainly trying to manage symptoms. For neurosarcoidosis, primary site in CNS, treatment is as life-threatening as the disease, and prognosis is not good. My diagnosis is neurosarcoidosis with multi-systemic involvement.
wavewolf, your links for some reason were broken so I've fixed the issue. If anyone tried to click on the link and got an error message, please try again. I'll give this a proper read after
