I have just ordered a Pedal-pro exercise bike off of ebay today with straps on the pedals to keep my right foot on the pedal as it always starts to slip off after a little while. It was around £130 and hopefully it will be a bit smother than the old one I have.
Hi freewheel The new exercise bike is great, had a problem with the computer at first but that has been sorted out. I have been on it 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. It is much better than the old one that I had, this has a fly wheel that keeps the legs going until it slows and comes to a stop, but has an emergence stop lever as well. The peddles have toe clips and staps to hold my feet on the peddles much better than just a strap. I find that with the nerve damage my legs and back get so tight by evening time that going on the bike relaxes them. With regards to Dievys post I think a motorised one would help you with exercise, all the multitude of Dr' I have seen now have said to exercise it seems to be just finding the type to suit individual needs. After cycling 4 to 5 hour a day before the accident this type of exercise suits me. Wish you luck with finding one for yourself.
