Finally arrived home just under 2 hours ago..had something to eat and a shower so i feel better! not slept since sunday due to taking an overnight flight but i feel surprisingly ok at the moment. DJ..i loved my stay..as well you know and Canada is a great place to visit! ......but i need to get back on my diet..quickly lol
Wow...ive been reading through this post on my trip to Canada...its almost 3 months now...where did that time go .....Canada is a great place to visit......i think everyone should go there at least once in their lifetime.
I remember how worried i was at making the journey on my own.. for one i had a huge irrational fear of flying and two..my family never let me escape further than a one mile radius of my house unnacompanied but it just shows what you can do with a bit of determination, strong will and good planning (did i ever admit on here that i didnt tell anyone i was going until one week before i went for fear of being talked out of it )
Bad Lara...lol....but .....it was the best two weeks of my life so worth being told off when i got home lol ...... it was great to meet DJ...and his family are lovely....but it was also a very satisfying feeling of realizing that a spinal cord injury does not need to stop me/us doing what we want to.
Heck...i wouldnt have made this journey before my Spinal Cord Injury....but i seem to have become even more determined to not let it define or control my future ambitions/dreams.
I think we should have an annual reunion right here in the red centre of Australia, you would all have a ball
Butiki, I'd love to visit Australia but come on mate we all need to meet half way, it's only fair! Lets say we all meet somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean?
Lαrα, time sure does go by quick doesn't it! Coming here was definitely not easy so you should be proud of yourself for sure! It was a big accomplishment of yours
