I dream of one day not having to take Oxybutynin to control my spastic, leaky bladder. I dream of one day not having to constantly wear incontinence pads that still leak. I dream of not having to worry about pressure sores from said pads. I have had it! I'm calling my urologist tomorrow about botox. What are your thoughts?
Turning your dream into a reality..hell yes, go for it girl! Knight....definitely go discuss options with your Urologist...that call could be the initiation of that change for you for the better
If that's the cure to all your problems for however long it lasts, why not?! I personally have been given the option to inject Botox in my bladder and although it may make a few things easier, I rejected it. I don't like having any kind of foreign/unnatural procedures done to myself no matter how minor it is. I've done enough damage to myself so I don't want to do anymore. That's not to say that the Botox is bad, it's just my personal opinion

I know almost zero about this topic but had a friend that used Botox for her bladder. She said it helped alot, but only lasted so long before she needed more. I'd check out the long term effects of the stuff.
The Thanksgiving weekend has screwed with my pill schedule and now am almost out of Oxybutynin! Walmart has Oxytrol patches, so I am going to get some of those to hold me over. Who knows, maybe I'll like the patch better. If it works, it might help to use the transdermal form in order to avoid more constipation.

I hope that that does the trick! I always seem to run out of my meds on Sunday, or Thanksgiving or Christmas, the days when my doctor's office is closed and he can't give me a prescription!
Walmart doesn't seem to have them anymore... I'll have to go around to the other stores in town and see if I can find it... I really hope someone has an over-the-counter Oxybutynin because the 4 pills I have won't last until Monday.
My sister found some patches and brought them to me!
I've never heard of a Ditropan patch, how does it work?
It is a 36mg patch that you wear for 4 days and nights and it delivers 3.9mg each day. So far, it works OK, except while drinking. I usually take 15-20mg of oxybutynin each day, so the patch doesn't deliver that much at all.
