Did many of you guys manage to have water therapy in your rehabilitation units? I imagine it is pretty much standard to have at most of the units now, its a shame if it isnt continued after rehab.

I did, went into the water a few times but didn't really like it because I felt cold the rest of the day. That was almost four years ago though, I'm sure it'll be much different now. I'll try it out the next time I go to the beach!
I thought I would write a bit. I continue to do water therapy 3 days a week. I had a rehab specialist work with me and set up a routine. I don't change quickly, so I don't go to rehab person but twice a year. I walk in the pool. I can't swim. My hips/legs/core don't work well enough to kick, but in waist deep water I can walk and do other exercises. I spend about an hour in the pool, and then 20 min in the hot tub. The pool I am now using is 91 degrees F, and I look forward to getting in. I was going to a pool that was 84 and it was a chore to lower myself into that, but fine once in.
I continue to change very slowly for the better. I turn 70 this month. I still think I might walk one day, and continue to work to that goal. I encourage everyone to find a path to stay sane and move towards wellness, whatever that path might be. Best of luck to all.

That's excellent! My pain management doctor recommended walking in water. I want to try the jacuzzi. Hope the hot water will keep my muscles from knotting up. Does anyone else have this problem?
