You need to be very careful when using hydrogen peroxide. If you get even a small nick in your urethra or bladder stem, using HP will destroy surrounding tissue and cause some additional damage. Discontinued use for a few days will allow healing.
Good luck.

Thanks for pointing that out Millard! I was a little unsure of it when Knight mentioned it but didn't know whether or not it's safe. Do you suggest she stop using it completely or use it on and off?
No sir. If it works for you and you're happy, go for it. It is a very inexpensive treatment. I was just urging caution. On another forum about 3 years ago a guy was using peroxide and ending up damaging his urethra at the bladder stem and prostate. He described it as very painful and had to have a supra pubic until his urethra healed.
Either way, good luck.

Thats a good point Millard...i was wondering the safety aspect of hydrogen peroxide...so im pleased you mentioned this, thankyou
ridingdirty, it's good that you're drinking lots of water! Unfortunatly you will have to do more frequent intermittent catheterizations but it'll be worth it for that one week for the sake of flushing out that urinary tract infection
ridingdirty, i do hope you are feeling better. I have just had an awful time with a very stubborn UTI but i am sure you will be just fine after a few days when it is cleared. I would urge anyone to send another sample to your doctor to make certain that the medication has cleared your infection once your course is completed.
freewheeler, I do exactly that but it takes 5-10 business days for me to get my urine results back! By then I probably have another bacteria starting. I wish they were quicker
