On June 10th, I will be getting my fourth, and hopefully last, spine surgery. My neurosurgeon will be putting in 8 screws and 2 rods to stabilize my spine, and a bone graft to fix the hairline fracture in my L1 vertebra. I will be staying in the hospital for at least 3 days and might have to stay an entire week or more for inpatient rehabilitation until my back muscles readjust to having hardware. I'm really hoping this will be the last spine surgery I will ever have to have.
I will not be posting a video of my truck transfer on my YouTube channel any time soon now because of this new information about my spine. My vertebra, which was diagnosed simply as a "kyphotic deformity" in April has now become more deformed as the CT scan showed a fracture. I plan to make a video while in the hospital to update everyone, so I will see you all then, and keep you updated on here as well.
Woah only 4 more days Knight, I wish you luck and I hope it all goes well and fixes the issues for good! Taking it easy is a good idea and definitely keep us updated!
I got a UTI, so my surgery will most likely be postponed, which sucks since it's surely already been about 5 months with that fracture. I am so frustrated about it! I will have to do a couple bladder flushes with peroxide and saline, and take a few cranberry pills to clean it out by Monday at the latest so I can show that I am in tip-top shape for surgery.

Oh that's too bad Hopefully it doesn't set you back for too long!
I am super anxious to find out if I'm still getting surgery on Tuesday or not. I'm really nervous about it too. They're definitely going to have to give me some Ativan or Valium beforehand because if I'm this nervous now, I can't imagine how I'll feel if/when I'm going into surgery.
Hang in there Knight! I will keep you in my prayers.
Before I had my last back surgery I waited about 6 months and it took a serious toll on my mobility. That is the reason I now use a wheelchair and can only go very short distances with crutches and AFOs. Like you, my legs randomly quit working.
Keep thinking good thoughts about the outcome and it will turn out for the best.
I am worried that the loss of feeling I've had in the past couple weeks will be permanent. I am losing mobility since my legs have gotten weaker too. My L1 is collapsing and none of my doctors seem worried in the slightest! My pain climbs well above a 10 simply from sitting. (That's on a 0-10 pain scale, 10 being the worst screaming-crying-can't-move pain.)
I am slowly losing my independence and that is the absolute scariest thing ever.
