Interesting comments on this topic. I have been taking Lyrica Pregabalin since the nerve pain started post-op, March 2015. They had me on 450mg a day in hospital and I dropped that back to 225mg a day immediately after being sent home, with little or no change in the pain level. Will drop it back to 150mg a day soon, or try to, don't know if I will get away with it. I am sure it works and I am not aware of any serious side-effects so I will stay on them for now.
Acupuncture seems to ease the muscle spasms and cramps I also suffer from but does nothing for the nerve pain. That seems to be a whole new ball game.

Do the severe nerve pain can cause neck cancer? Because my friend was suffering from this pain and later on he had a lump near the neck and it was malignant. Now, he has to go through the low dose rate radiation or surgery so that it can be cured.
This is an unusual one..I was reading on a popular CES facebook page how scotch tape was helping relieve nerve pain..so i went on the net to search for any relevant info...

The idea that music can heal the soul or "soothe the savage breast" is well-known. Music's healing power over the body has also attracted attention from scientists who aim to test this ancient wisdom. A growing body of research supports the claim that music can alleviate physical pain. Studies have shown music to be an effective pain reliever, both on its own and as an adjuvant in connection with other types of therapy. Long-term studies of music therapy in pain management have shown it to be associated with improved quality of life and reduced consumption of pain relievers.
When the burning nerve pain in my feet is driving me crazy, i put my headphones on and play music. It's a great distraction to help take my mind off the burning so i can see how music therapy could be beneficial.

Hi, by falling from a low height in January, i have paraplegia, unstable three column fracture T12-L1, injury probably worse due to being disabled for years with chronic ankyloosing spondylitis and bamboo spine. It isn't a complete injury, parts of my upper legs i can feel, but the edges are in private area's that are very painful, red hot and being whipped with stinging nettles!
I'm hoping to have a Supra Pubic Catheter soon, for obvious reasons, and i can't take strong pain killers like morphine etc as they bind up my bowels, so only take weak pain tablets.
Has any got any suggestions? Please don't mention duck tape ouch, LOL!
I am the crazy who sleeps with one coat of scotch tape on the bottom of my feet at night. My nerve pain is pretty much gone! I am also taking alpha lipoic acid. I saw someone else mention the tape and figured that it is a lot cheaper than most meds and it is very easy to use. I don't understand it, but if it works, it works!
And there are no side effects!
Hi, I am going out of my mind with nerve pain.Scotch tape? Awsome find. Which I am willing to try. Tried everything else. But could you tell me how you put it on and how much of it? Thanks
